Ukata Jane rose from a background of hawking vegetables to pursue a University degree. Despite being born and raised in a slum, she exhibited considerable strength in pursuing her dream demonstrated by her decision to return to school to study Dentistry after initially studying Anatomy.

She volunteered for the Slum2School project and other outreach programs. In June 2023, she organized a dental outreach in her hometown of Mgbidi, Awgu LGA, Enugu State, where she coordinated around 50 students of Dentistry and four Doctors to provide free services. These services included medical and dental consultations, blood pressure checks, random blood sugar testing, and various dental treatments such as scaling, polishing, and extractions.
